The Morrow County Sheriff's Office is supported by Special Deputies. Special Deputies assist the agency by providing support where shortages arise in everyday operations. They are volunteers that are State certified and hold the same authority as full-time personnel. Special Deputies are required to volunteer 16 hours per month with the Sheriff's Office in order to retain their commission. They also provide coverage in special events such as parades, festivals and the County Fair.
