CURRENT PROPERTIES FOR TAX SALES

 

Sales are held on Friday and will commence promptly at 10:00 a.m. Tax Sales are held at the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office at 101 Home Road, Mount Gilead, Ohio

Cash, money orders, or bank checks will be accepted at the conclusion of the sale.  If you live in the County or your bank is in the County, you may write a personal check.

Below deposit is due at the end of the sale, with the remaining balance due upon receipt of Sale Confirmation by the Sheriff’s Office.

Fair Market Value* of house and Deposit:
Less than $10,000:  Deposit is $2,000
$10,001 – $200,000:  Deposit is $5,000
$200,001 and above:  Deposit is $10,000
(* if there is no Fair Market Value, the deposit will be based on the Minimum Bid amount)

If you bid on a property and you don’t follow through with the financing, you are subject to losing all or most of your deposit.

If the property is not sold at the first sale, it must be offered for sale a second time by the Sheriff’s Office.  If the property is not sold at the second sale, the Prosecutor’s Office then determines if the property is eligible for Auditor Sale.

* PLEASE NOTE:  Each parcel is being sold separately, under its own bid.  This applies even when multiple parcels share the same case number.  Parcels under the same case may or may not be adjacent–it is up to the buyer to research and determine which parcel(s) they desire.

Sales are offered twice by the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office.
